The restaurant

Located in Paris’ 17nth arrondissement, just around the corner from the Parc Monceau, and a short walking distance from the Arc de Triomphe and Charles de Gaulle Etoile, Yayin is the French capital’s first kosher wine bar and restaurant.

Yayin offers a very modern approach to kosher cuisine. What makes yayin a unique place is the pairing of wine and food, from hors d’œuvres to dessert, with systematic wine suggestions for every item on the menu.

It’s also a very original kosher menu, that puts a modern light on traditional Jewish cooking, be it ashkenazic, or sefaradic.

At yayin :

  • Gefilte fish is poached in coconut milk and lemongrass and wrapped in a banana leaf
  • Chicken parmentier with olives and preserved lemon winks at classical Moroccan tagines
  • And green tea with mint leaves suffuses pastry cream dotted with toasted pine nuts, Napoleon style.
